I moved to Billings from the Midwest in 1959 when my dad took a job as a professor at Eastern Montana College (now Montana State University – Billings). My parents were here 8 years before moving to California, but I was hooked. I had gone from the 8th Grade through two years of college when my parents left – this was my home.
Billings is a great place to live. It is easy to get to any place in the country whether flying or driving. They call Montana the “Big Sky” Country.” You don’t really realize what that means until you drive around the state – you can see forever and you have lots of space. You also don’t realize what a great place this is until you come home from a trip to a big city – this is truly “the last best place” and I feel fortunate to live here.
If you like outdoor activities like world class hunting and fishing, hiking, backpacking, biking, great skiing, sight-seeing or just enjoying the spectacular scenery in Montana, you have it all here. We have included some links on this page to help you get more familiar with what I’m talking about.
Thanks for checking us out.
